vecbase.mf is the original MF79 source.

vecbase2.mf is the MF84 source provided by a kind reader of the TeX
newsgroup.  The .bat files are for an Amiga ST. I have written a simple
Unix sh script that creates wrapper jobs for all 36 vector fonts. If
you are using a backend like dvips, all you have to do is put these MF
wrappers and vecbase2.mf where MF can find them and the backend will
fire up MF to create the fonts as needed. Of course you also need to
install the tfm files in ../ where TeX can find them.
